Melton Truck Lines, Inc. Names Driver and Employee of the Year
TULSA, Okla – July 7, 2011 – Melton Truck Lines, a premier air-ride flatbed carrier based in Tulsa, OK, recently named its Driver and Employee of the Year.  The awards are presented annually to a driver and office employee who demonstrate leadership, excellence and dependability.  Bob Peterson, Melton president, presented the awards at the company’s annual dinner and awards ceremony. 
The Driver of the Year award was presented to Barry Evans from St. Michaels, MD.  Barry has been with Melton 14 years. He has over one million miles with Melton and is a Melton Ambassador of the Road. In his spare time, Barry likes to hunt, fish and work around the house.       

“It is a great honor to be chosen Driver of the Year,” Barry said. “I would like to thank everyone at Melton, especially my driver manager, Karie at the Help Desk, and Mr. Peterson for providing such a friendly place to work.”       

The Employee of the Year award was presented to Mary Self from Broken Arrow, OK.  Mary is Melton’s Accounts Payable Coordinator. Although many departments have grown and expanded to keep up with changes in business, Mary has been the only person in her department during her nearly 17 years at Melton. Mary is an avid University of Oklahoma football fan. She enjoys going to OU football games and spending time with her family – especially her grandkids.       

“It is an honor to be named Employee of the Year,” Mary said. “I have loved working at Melton for almost 17 years. Thanks to all the hard working employees at Melton who help make my job easier.”
